The Great River Race is back after a 2 year absence and should not be missed.
It runs 21.6 miles upstream on the Thames, from the Millwall Slipway opposite the Docklands Sailing Centre, Westferry Road E14 3QS to Ham, Richmond. See the sights of London, fighting it out against over 300 other fixed seat rowing boats. Quite simply a highlight of the SARC calendar.
The cost of the event has increased unfortunately so a rowers ticket is being set at £225 although we are not 100% sure it will cover all the costs, we are hoping so. When you make payment, it will take a few minutes for you to receive your confirmation email and you will be returned to the home page – this is normal due to the way we have to link to PayPal
The cost covers camping, breakfast, BBQ, bus to the race start from Ham campsite, towage for the boats and contribution to the towers’ diesel (NB beer is extra!). We have also built into the cost for the rowers the expense of taking the passenger as it was felt the passenger should not have to pay for the event.
Book early to avoid disappointment, we have decided to ask you to pay the full amount in one go as it has proven to be a very hard job to collect payment in the past.
