Castle to Crane – Scotland

Castle to Crane is the biggest open water rowing race to be held in Scotland. 13 miles of fierce racing from Dumbarton Castle to the Finnieston Crane in the heart of Glasgow.

The race will be open to any fixed seat, coxed rowing boats of at least four oars. Full rules of racing will be published here soon.

The route of the race will pass many iconic places on the Clyde: Dumbarton Castle itself; under the Erskine bridge; past old ship yards and functioning commercial docks. For more details go to The Course

Entry is by application and we’ll be charging £21 per rower, with coxes and passengers going free.
