SARC sent down 3 boats to this years race and had a brilliant time with perfect weather for the event
For the first time, SARC were able to enter a full ladies crew into the event and they did an amazing row coming second to the ladies winners.
Yellow crew were the winners of the Pembroke class (I know there was only one Pembroke entered but who are we to bother about small details like that!) and again, did a fantastic job on the row and staved off a challenge from the Ginger crew for the last 5 miles of the race.
Ginger crew had some problems with the timings app (note to self to so this properly next time), but we could work their time out as they set off 3 minutes after Yellow but finished 30 seconds ahead of them to record the fastest boat time for the club.
Thanks once again to Matt Ashton for organising and to both Bruce Orme and Matt Mayne for driving the boats down to London.
These events really are the things that bring the club together so please let us all ensure we enter as many of them as we can next year
