Your Committee are aware of the problems of odd numbers of rowers unable to take out a fully-crewed Celtic.
We have decided that the solution is to have a smaller traditional rowing boat available, and we have persuaded Dai Williams of Carmarthen to build one last Teifi Skiff.
Teifis are beautiful: coxed, fixed seat, two rower, four oar 18 foot skiffs, effectively small-scale Celtics. The Welsh clubs race them, and there is hope of getting a Teifi class in the Great River race. Have a look:
Dai is nearly 80, and it will take him till mid-November to complete the skiff. We hope to have it available before the challenging winter rowing conditions return.
We will keep you posted.
Best wishes
Quentin, Commodore
