Thanks to some fantastic efforts from Dave Kletzein and Dave Ward, who have between them planned the changes, begged for and bought all the materials and also borrowed the equipment needed we now have a much improved slipway into the river.
Whilst there will still be some work to finish this off (and volunteers WILL be needed) once the river goes down, we now have a much safer entry to the water and something which will show the club off well in the coming time trial event where we will have lots of visiting clubs with us for the first time.
So well done to both Dave’s, another example of how many of the members really put themselves out for the club and we should all acknowledge their effort by buying them a pint when we next see them.
